This is just outside the resort as well...I haven't decided what those statues are. They are huge "somethings" anyway!

like I said..vegetation is amazing. Azelea..normally a potted houseplant here!
More beach pictures next post...this was my favourite part of the whole trip!

Cuba pics2

Outside the lobby of the resort

Pool area and in the background the buffet dinner area. This was taken in the evening. I never swam in the pool..why? When the ocean is a 5 minute walk??
View outside my room
View outside main bedroom area of room. It was a nice room..with the exception that I had to share it with my chain smoking alcoholic sister.
That and the house keepers weren't great...nor the maintenance. We had to ask for clean towels after not getting any for three days. The toilet broke on the Wednesday and by Friday they still hadn't fixed it or offered to move us to another room..
Okay I sound like a spoiled tourist but seriously..having to borrow the toilet next store in a 41/2 star resort?
The place did look beautiful though..

Cuba Pics1

Some of the scenerey in Cayo CoCo Cuba, where my little sister decided to get married.

Huge statue of Neptune...he faced the sea. No one could really explain this but you would think Neptune was some sort of patron saint in Cayo Coco. There are images of him everywhere!

Coconut tree...hey, I had never seen one before! The coconuts drop off at random. They are on the ground all over the resort. Which brings to mind a good idea for a Monty Python sketch..but I digress...
Actually, one dropped off in the middle of the night right outside my window. It hit the tiled pathway and scared the heck out of me!!

More palm trees. Like I said, they impressed me. So different from the vegetation we have here.
